I am a soon-to-be graduated art and early education major from Lyon College. This website showcases undergraduate work from Advanced Concepts as well as Senior Thesis. There will be future work added to this website as I continue my career as an artist and teacher. I come from Dallas, Texas but I will be moving to Kentucky to start a whole new adventure in my life. I will begin my career as an elementary school teacher there. When I create a series or separate pieces, I am inspired by personal experiences as well as my experiences in the classroom. My journey as an artist directly correlates with my journey as a teacher and I use the experiences that I get in the classroom from my students to create personal, narrative art that reflects my view on the world around me. I also find that the art that I create tells a story. I see a story being formed through everyday life and I use art to bring that story to light so that other people can see and relate to the stories that are creating my life.
